Sutter Health Nursing Supervisor - (Burlingame) (48hr, Nights) in Burlingame, California
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the administrative management of Mills-Peninsula Medical Center during the evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts. The Nursing Supervisor manages staffing resources to provide cost effective, optimal and consistent nursing care and ensures collaboration intra and inter-departmentally, to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families. The MPHS Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the campus and cannot leave unless another Supervisor is present or a Manager is expected to arrive. The ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and the Patients’ Bill of Rights is integrated into nursing practice. Assumes shift-related responsibilities for staffing, their schedules, and daily maintenance of staffing systems guidelines. Works in collaboration with Manager and Staffing Coordinators to accomplish these tasks. Continually monitors inpatient staffing needs for shift, along with projections for next shifts, with Staffing Coordinator.
Current California RN license
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
Management of Assaultive Behavior certification
BSN in Nursing or equivalent experience
Experience working in an acute care hospital for at least 5 years.
Experience as a Nursing Supervisor in an acute care hospital preferred
