State of Michigan Registered Nurse 13 - Infection Control Nurse/Clinic and Lab Coordinator in Chesterfield Township, Michigan
Responsible for the development, implementation, and enforcement of the facility's Infection Control Program. Develops, implements, and administers all related policies and procedures. Responsible for facilitating activities within the facility to decrease the risk and spread of infections. Ensures compliance with all state, federal and VA regulations surrounding infection surveillance and infection control in the home.
This employee also functions as the coordinator for clinic services at the home with the primary responsibility to coordinate clinical consultations to augment the services provided by the Home's staff. This will include coordination of ordered medical consultations, diagnostic testing, therapies and appointments (e.g. Dialysis, Radiation Therapy, Chemotherapy, etc.), dental and vision services, etc. Coordination of services provided to the home by the contracted vendor will also be the responsibility of this nurse.
This position is a test-designated position and will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.

Required Education and Experience
Possession of a diploma, associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree in nursing accepted for licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing.
Two years of experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse P11, or one year equivalent to a Registered Nurse 12.
Alternate Education and Experience
Possession of a master's degree in nursing and one year of experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse 12; or, possession of a bachelor's degree in nursing andeighteen months of experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse P11; or, possession of a bachelor's degree in nursing andone year of experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse 12 may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Additional Requirements and Information
Possession of a Michigan license in good standing as a registered nurse.
The Department of Corrections will not hire individuals who have been convicted of a felony or who have felony charges pending, in accordance with Public Act 140 of 1996.
