Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Nursing Assistant provides and supports direct patient care as guided by their training and in accordance with policy and our mission, vision and values.
Makes observations/collects health status data as assigned and/or delegated by the RN.
Reports and documents findings according to established guidelines.
Performs personal care/interventions as assigned and/or delegated by the RN according to policy, procedure, unit routine and patient need.
May transport medications (excluding controlled substances) on hospital campus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of Nursing Assistant experience preferred. Applicants with less than one year of Nursing Assistant experience must meet the following:
Registered on State Department of Health Nursing Assistant Registry; and/or
Completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program
In addition, candidates should be self-motivated and able to work in a team setting, as well as possess strong communication, problem solving, customer service and critical thinking skills.
0.7 FTE (56 hours per pay period)
Rotating day and evening shifts (0700-1530 and 1500-2330)
Every other weekend
