Assistant Director of Nursing in
- Full-time Management position * Must have active RN license and CPR certification * On-call rotation and flexibility to work as floor nurse as needed * Weekly late night with a Friday rotation * Must possess the ability to work as a part of a team * Ability to lead and supervise Summary: Manages, supervises, and coordinates the operations of the facility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Assistant to the Director of Nursing and will be report as needed when the DON is out of the facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long term care * Responsible for all care delivered for 24 hour period, seven days a week. * Responsible for the provision of Nurse and Resident Care Giver (RCG) assignments for all shifts. * Is a member of the Interdisciplinary Care Planning Team and attends Care Conferences or selects a designee to attend. * Monitor residents conditions as well as treatments and medications to ensure residents are receiving proper care, review nurses notes to ensure proper documentation is maintained * Assist Medical Records Coordinator and MDS nurses to ensure that Physician and nurses documentation is appropriate and timely * Participate in developing, planning, implementing, and as needed, conducting in service training for nursing services and facility personnel. * Assist and participate in development for each resident a comprehensive assessment and written care plan that identifies the nursing and medical problems and/or needs of the resident and the goals to be accomplished for each problem and/or need identified. * Assist in planning the Nursing Services budget for equipment, supplies, and labor. * Follow, enforce, and monitor infection control procedures and documentation related. Education and/or Experience: Has had at least 2 years of nursing experience some of which included responsibility for supervision of other nursing personnel Previous experience in a hospital, long term care facility, or other healthcare related facility Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the State of Ohio.
