Texas Health Resources RN Nurse Supervisor Long Term Acute Care in Fort Worth, Texas

Position Highlights

  • Work location: Texas Health Specialty Hospital, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104

  • Work environment: Our10-bed, long term acute care hospital, located within Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, offers an environment for you to use your clinical expertise to provide individualized and holistic care for patients with intensive nursing needs. The Nurse Supervisor will provide leadership and support to our long term acute care nursing team.

  • Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am ( 12 hours in supervisor/administration time, 24 hours in direct patient care at LTAC.

  • Salary range: $39.81 - $64.15 per hour (based on relevant experience)

• Ventilator-dependent patients with rehabilitation potential

• Multiple trauma patients

• Patients with complex wound care

• Multisystem failure patients

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited Nursing program and Completion of BSN within two years of earliest start date in a Texas Health RN role is required.

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred.

  • 2+ years experience as a clinical nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor) required.

  • TX Registered Nurse Upon Hire required

  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire required

  • ACLS – within 90 days of hire required

  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 60 Days required.

  • LTAC, Critical care or Progressive Care experience preferred

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will

  • Good computer skills using a medical management application.

  • Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.

  • Serve as a role model, be an intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and a coordinator for quality patient care.

  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment is required.
