LifePoint Health Clinical Analyst / Nursing Infomatics (RN required) in Galax, Virginia
Serves as primary clinical information systems resource liaison between patient care areas, ancillary departments, IS, system vendors, and physicians. _ _ _Qualifications:_ / / /Education and Experience:/
Must be graduated from a school of nursing and have a current licensure as an RN.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Nursing. / / /Responsibilities:/
Onboarding and ongoing computer training for all Physician Practice staff.
Monitors and analyzes system usage making recommendations for procedural and/or functional changes to optimize performance.
Assists clinical and ancillary areas with the design and development of special reports.
Plans, coordinates, troubleshoots, implements, and evaluates installation of new clinical system software and/or upgrades.
Participates in the evaluation and selection process for new clinical information systems and/or services.
Provides documentation to assure appropriate resource references are available to end users.
Evaluates, plans, coordinates, and provides system training and education for end users and support staff necessitated by changes in procedures/functionality, new/upgraded systems, and continuing education.
Provides orientation, in-service training and continuing education to all staff in all clinics.
Initiates, documents and monitors clinical system service calls and follows up with end users and vendors, as necessary.
Responds immediately and appropriately to inquiries, requests and phone calls.
Leads and initiates process improvements both within own department and others with which process ownership is shared.
Maintains confidentiality of all patient, hospital, employee, or physician related information.
Refrains from gossip and speaks in low tone in all appropriate areas.
Uses complete discretion when discussing patient and/or hospital matters.
Works with physicians to construct templates within Athena to help with efficiency and patient flow.
Assists in the development and implementation of staff education and orientation, specific job related training, and other approaches to provide opportunities for staff flexibility and development.
Work closely with PCMH Team leader to gather data and monitor EMR processes to ensure they continually meet new requirements.

Take direction from HSC Resources and incorporate these measures into clinical practice.
Monitor measures and assist staff as needed to ensure goals are met. / / /Physical Demands and Working Conditions:/
Travel to all clinics as needed
Some lifting and carrying of computer equipment (PCs, Monitors and Printers
Working under pressure when there is a clinical system failure or disruption.
