MD Anderson Cancer Center Nurse Manager - Cardiopulmonary Center in Houston, Texas

SUMMARY

The primary purpose of the Nurse Manager role in the Cardiopulmonary Center is to direct overall clinical operations, coordinate staff management, patient care, and customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and five years of professional nursing experience to include two years of management experience in a high acuity hospital or clinic environment. Proficiency with EPIC is a must. Cardiopulmonary experience is a plus.

Schedule will be: Monday - Friday between the clinic operating hours of 8AM - 5PM. No weekends, no holidays.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing.

EXPERIENCE

Required: Five years of professional nursing experience, including one year of supervisory experience in direct patient care activities. Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate program may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience.

Preferred: Two years management experience in a high acuity hospital or clinic environment. Proficient with EPIC. Cardiopulmonary and cancer care experience.

CERTIFICATION

Required: Current State of Texas Professional Nursing License (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
