Ascension St. Vincent Seton Hospital - 8050 Township Line Road, Indianapolis , Indiana

Shift/Hours: PRN Day and Nights

Our Ascension St. Vincent Seton Specialty Long-term Acute Care Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, specializes in the care of medically complex patients who need intensive skilled nursing and medical follow-up after being hospitalized for a critical illness. Our long-term acute care facility focuses on patients, who on average stay for 25 days or more. Our long-term acute care team includes doctors, nurses, wound care specialists, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists and social workers. What You Will Do

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

  • One or more of the following required:

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date.

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Additional Preferences

Previous ICU/PCCU or LTC experience preferred, BLS current
