Overview

The responsibility of the Mgr, Wellness Ctr Operations is to serve as a liaison to the Debra Simon Center for Integrative Medicine at HackensackUMC Fitness & Wellness Center departments for matters related to operational issues, problem resolution, and communication.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the oversight and general operations management of the Debra Simon Center for Integrative Medicine at HackensackUMC Fitness & Wellness Center. 2. Manages and facilitates the operational relationship with HackensackUMC departments and outside organizations. 3. Solves problems effectively and efficiently with an emphasis on developing proactive, productive approaches utilizing internal and external support functions. 4. Understands the sites' challenges and productively facilitates communication with, and involvement of, other HackensackUMC departments. 5. Provide written objectives, policies, and procedures for center operations. 6. Actively partners with corporate representatives to market programs and engage employees. 7. Build awareness of preventive health measures available and to promote safety at the workplace. 8. Create large-scale initiatives to improve the health of people in corporations and the community. 9. Designs and delivers on-site workshops and health promotion programs. 10. Conduct presentations on wellness topics customized to corporate populations. 11. Seeks internal and external health subject matter experts to present lectures, workshops and/or screenings at HackensackUMC Fitness & Wellness Center. 12. Educates, motivates, and engages employees in health promoting behavior through focused education based on preventative guidelines, 13. Collaborates with HackensackUMC departments: the Center for Occupational Medicine, Marketing and Communications, Foundation, and Executive Health in creating a user friendly portal of entry for corporations seeking Corporate Wellness services. 14. Organize health screenings and flu immunization programs. 15. Measure, track, and report key wellness performance metrics for the Community Education Room and Cooking Studio. 16. Evaluates corporate and community satisfaction of health related screenings and educational programs held at the Community Education Room and Cooking Studio. 17. Adheres to the American Nurse Association standards for magnet designation. 18. Represents the Wellness Center on various hospital wide committees as directed or requested. 19. Works closely with clients and HackensackUMC departments to identify expansion opportunities including new or existing service offerings and provides guidance for the integration of services. 20. In the absence of the Administrative Director, assumes all responsibilities of Corporate Wellness department and functions as the Acting Director of the department with all responsibilities inherent to that role. 21. Possess knowledge and skill in current worksite wellness practices and illness prevention services. 22. Establish objectives for nursing and health promotion programs. 23. Ensure staff familiarity with objectives, policies, and procedures. 24. Provide statistical analysis for programs to assure they meet corporate needs. 25. Provide aggregate reports of corporate services. 26. Provide timely access to corporate representatives to coordinate wellness programming. 27. Recommends equipment and supplies for budgetary consideration. 28. Communicates effectively with health professionals, corporate representatives, and organizations. 29. Supervises HARP staff to assure quality and safety. Guides and advises staff accordingly. 30. Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational & Managerial Competencies.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1. Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing. 2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing. 3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in health-related program planning and delivery in corporate health. 4. Excellent communication skills, including written, interpersonal and public speaking. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: 1. Master's degree in nursing or a related field. Licenses and Certifications Required: 1. NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License. 2.
