Position Overview:

Under general supervision and within the scope of their licensure, provides direct and indirect care to patients delivered based upon the principles and scientific knowledge of the California Nurse Practice Act.

  • Provides daily patient care supportwithin the specialized department and within RN scope of practice

  • Consistently performs rooming procedures, following the rooming standard, in an efficient, courteous, respectful and professional manner; ensuring the patient is fully prepared prior to the provider entering the exam or operatingroom

  • Obtains appropriate and relevant data from patient and accurately records data using electronic health records within a timely manner

  • Prepares patient for clinical testing specialized to the department protocols

  • Assists with the patients care team in implementing the plan of care for the patient in a collaborative and professional manner

  • Schedules hospital procedures and obtains authorizations as necessary

  • Indentifies patient with special needs and provides appropriate assistance

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse - State Licensure - RN

Basic Life Support Certification - BLS

Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS (Upon hire or within 6 months of hire)

New grad with less than 6 months experience Preferred
