These locations provide Medicare and Medicaid nursing home care to honorably discharged veterans, including, in some instances, their spouses, widows, or Gold Star. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse 2 to provide resident-centered care and ensure that our Veterans at the Washington Soldiers Home in Orting are provided a safe and healthy space, treated with dignity and respect, and have care suited to their personal needs. In this role you will assist and monitor assigned residents with activities of daily living based on current nursing standards of practice and with a heart for our mission. This role is 80% and will work the following shift: Friday – Monday 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. with Tues/Wed/Thur Off. Duties *Under direction and supervision of a registered nurse, and in accordance with current standards of practice, functions as a responsible member of a health care team. *Administers medications and treatments, or monitors self-administered medications of residents. *Process physician orders. *Plan, implement, and document appropriate discharge planning for residents. *Perform basic nursing procedures. *And much more!
