Position Description :

Founders 11 is our 27 bed Cardiac Intermediate Care unit. Our nurses commonly care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring. We have sub specialties including CHF, electrophysiology, and Pulmonary Hypertension patients. We care for patients with pulmonary artery catheters as well as patients on LVADS. This unit is looking for a Nurse Manager.

The Nurse Manager assumes 24 hour accountability for the operation of the designated patient care unit (s). This includes the provision of leadership to improve patient care, enhance professional development and achieve nursing goals.

Establish/update processes and work practices for the unit/department

Manage team and individual performance in alignment with the UPHS vision of service excellence

Build work practices and team processes based on the Institute of Medicine’s (IOM) Six Aims for Improvement

Regulatory Compliance (In partnership with Leadership Team)

Evidence Based Nursing Practice

Financial Management

Effective and timely performance management

Minimum Requirements :

BSN Required, MSN preferred.

Progressive nursing experience required with demonstrated leadership and management skills

Also required:

Currently licensed as a professional nurse in the

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania RN

BLS/CPR as a healthcare provider as per the American

Heart Association
