We are seeking a full-time LPN to join our team. Full time schedule is Mon-Fri, daylight with minimal on-call as our on-call team is fully staffed. Bethany Hospice has been voted a Best Place to Work in Western PA 10 times, and is a 3 time recipient of the Best Places to Work in the state.
LPN's are part of a team of nurses, hospice aides, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers that work together to provide for the needs of our patients and families. We serve patients within a 35-mile radius of our Greentree office in private residences, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. LPN will travel from one patient location to another to provide care and/or nursing interventions. A reliable vehicle is required; mileage is paid. Mandatory COVID vaccination policy is in effect.
LPN licensed in the state.
Graduate of accredited practical nurse program.
Minimum of one year of nursing experience, hospice experience preferred.
Understanding of hospice philosophy and needs of the terminally ill.
Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices.
Physical exam in accordance with state law requirements.
Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting.
Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.
Satisfactory criminal background check.
Presentation of negative TB skin test and/or CXR and other tests as required by hospice policy and/or state law.
Valid driver’s license and an automobile that is insured is accordance with state law and is in good working order.
Demonstrate excellent observation, good nursing judgment and communication skills. Ability to provide good written documentation in a timely manner.
Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations.
