UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our EP Lab team. Responsible for providing professional Nursing care in the analysis of data for patients with implantable cardiac devices including pacemakers, defibrillators and loop devices, following established standards and practices. The Registered Nurse will be able to demonstrate the professional nursing skills to evaluate patients with arrhythmias and the skills to evaluate patients with cardiac rhythm management devices as well as the ability to program settings and troubleshoot in collaboration with electrophysiology specialists. This nurse must have knowledge of various manufacturers and models of these devices and their functions. They must have the ability to acquire, maintain and integrate new technologies as they evolve. Performs interrogation, evaluation, and reprogramming of all manufacturers’ models of cardiac rhythm management devices. Reviews remote, trans-telephonic, and in-office evaluations and completes documentation according to protocols. Provides patient and family education with appropriate documentation. Supports the principles and derived technology-based interventions and therapies in cardiac pacing, defibrillation, and electrophysiology to provide and facilitate the provision of safe, optimal patient care. SCHEDULE Position is full-time, day shift. REQUIREMENTS Current BLS and one year critical care experience required. LEGAL REQUIREMENTS Washington State RN license required by start date. DESIRED BSN strongly preferred UW Medicine includes Harborview Medical Center, UW Medical Center - Montlake, UW Medical Center - Northwest, Valley Medical Center, UW Neighborhood Clinics, UW Physicians, UW School of Medicine, and Airlift Northwest.
