Licensed Practical Nurse
Cerner Corporation is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for our on-site health center in Selma, AL. This health center provides Occupational Health services for the employees of a large, local employer.
As the LPN, you will support the providers and nurses with care for patients within the scope of their licensure by assisting in the treatment of acute, chronic and complex disease management and promoting wellness and illness prevention through direct member care as directed by a provider. You will also be responsible for taking member vitals, inputting member symptoms into an electronic medical record, collecting laboratory specimens, administering immunization/shots, scheduling follow-up appointments, referrals and diagnostic testing, assisting with procedures and patient education. Nursing experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or occupational health is strongly preferred.
The schedule for this position is Monday- Friday, 3:00PM-11:00PM.

High School Diploma
Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of AL
At least 2 years of work experience in a Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Primary Care or Urgent Care health center setting
Basic and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certifications
Electronic Medical Record Experience
Willing to work on a flexible schedule as needed
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
Perform other responsibilities as assigned
