Schedule: Full Time Nights, 36 hours per week, 7p-7:30a with rotating weekend and holidays

Terre Haute Regional Hospital (THRH) part of the Healthcare Corporation of America (HCA), is a 278-bed Level III Trauma Center. We offer cardiovascular services, including open-heart and cardiac catheterization; oncology services, which include radiation therapy and outpatient infusion’ labor and delivery, including a neonatal intensive care unit; inpatient mental health unit; and other specialized care areas, including intensive care and inpatient rehabilitation units.

Inpatient Physical Rehabilitation Unit:
12-Bed Private Room Inpatient Rehab Unit with onsite therapy
Patient Population includes: trauma, cardiac, stroke, neurological conditions, brain and spinal cord injuries and medically complicated patients.
Weekly team meetings with patient and family
Nursing staffing is based on census but averages 1 RN to every 4-5 patients.

Great team work and collaboration with physicians, other units and management
Gives direct patient care based on knowledge of principles and practice of licensed practical nurse.
Assumes duties of medication nurse capably and with full knowledge of actions and untoward effects of medication being dispensed
Performs treatments prescribed by physician and/or delegated by registered nurse
Observes, records, and reports to the registered nurse the patient’s symptoms, reactions and progress
Assists in patient education, rehabilitation, and maintenance of health
Assists patients with all activities of daily living including but not limited to the bathing, positioning, range of motion, eliminating and ambulation
Floats to other units
Functions as preceptor for new employees and students
Performs efficiently with CPCS/Healthstream/E-Resource page. Maintains ongoing training and proficiency with CPCS/Healthstream/E-Resource page
*EDUCATION: *Required: Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program
*LICENSURE: *Current State of Indiana LPN license and BLS certification required.
EXPERIENCE: *Demonstrated proficiency in basic nursing skills, including phlebotomy*
