Sutter Health Staffing and Special Procedures Coordinator, Nursing Administration in Tracy, California

Position Overview:

A full-service acute care facility serving the residents of Tracy for over 70 years, Sutter Tracy Community Hospital has a total of 79 inpatient beds. The hospital provides Basic Emergency Medical Services in a 14 bed E.D., inpatient and ambulatory surgical services, medical surgical, telemetry and coronary care, diagnostic imaging, laboratory and rehabilitation services, including physical, speech and occupational therapy. Areas of specialized care include a Pain Clinic, Wound Care and Continence Center, and a Family Birthing Center.

As a member of the nursing team, the Staffing and Special Procedures Coordinator provides technical and administrative support necessary to assist Nursing Administration in meeting organizational goals related to productivity, compliance, quality, safety, customer service, employee satisfaction and resource management.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  1. Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job.

  2. Must be able to travel in and out of San Joaquin County.If STCH and/or own vehicle used on company business, must possess valid California Driver’s License and upon request proof of liability insurance.

Education:

Completion of two years of college (AA degree) preferred. High school diploma required. Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Experience:

Minimum of two years experience working in a business environment. Experience in the healthcare industry, with a particular focus on staffing or scheduling, is desirable. Experience creating/ maintaining computerized documents, spreadsheets, databases and files.

Knowledge:

a. Knowledge of and proficiency with computer software as listed above.

b. Knowledge of letter composition and records management.

c. Knowledge of hospital operations, policies, and procedures, medical terminology and confidentiality regulations.

d. Knowledge of nurse- to- patient staffing ratios and regulations.

Special Skills/ Equipment:

a. Proficient typing skills (40wpm with accuracy). Typing certificate required.
