Seeking a FULL TIME LVN to work NIGHTS: 5 days a week and every other weekend: Sunday to Thursday 6pm-8am and every other weekend Guaranteed 8 hours per shift pay You will be driving to patient homes on hospice at night 6pm-8am and every other weekend You will have to cover the San Fernando Valley areas and also the Ventura County areas: ABOUT US We know hospice nurses are special. Our nurses are an integral part of our organization and we look forward to you joining our family. - Lena Beker, Founder POSITION SUMMARY We are looking for Licensed Vocational nurses (LVN) to fill a number of positions, including on part time basis to join our after hours team to make crisis visits, as well as per diem positions to provide continuous care to our patients. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the hospice LVN provides skilled nursing and palliative care to hospice patients. The LVN works cooperatively with other Interdisciplinary Team members and provides intermittent visits or shifts of skilled nursing care, including pain management and symptom control, nursing observations, The LVN also provides information about the expected course of the illness, care techniques and other health measures to the patients, family members or primary caregivers. The LVN participates in the care plan development and implementation. Must be able to utilize computers and be comfortable with EMR. QUALIFICATIONS: * Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing. * Current LVN license within the State. Certification in Hospice and Palliative care encouraged. * At least one year experience as a LVN. * Valid driver’s license, and auto insurance, reliable/well maintained transportation. * Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
