We'll celebrate milestones.We're proud of what we know, which includes how much there is to learn.Your day.As a Command Center RN you need to know how to: Assesses, directs and coordinates transfers and admissions from physicianoffices, hospitals, and other healthcare settings to the most appropriateaccepting service, facility, and level of care. Facilitates patient placement by assessing patient diagnosis, acuity andlocation, applicable risk factors and unit criteria/bed availability. Collaborates with the facility departments, medical staff, nursingstaff, and leadership to promote appropriate, timely patient placement sothat patient care is not delayed. Collaborates with facility staff to identifyand communicate bed capacity issues. Leverages capacity dashboards and other real-time indicators to predictfuture patient placement pressure points and participates in the execution ofsurge-capacity protocols; and initiating interventions, within scope ofpractice, to accelerate patient flow or other mitigating barriers to optimalthroughput. Assists with all aspects of patient logistics to include pre-registration,transportation, and bed planning; collects unit specific data, andinformation needed to access and place patients appropriately. Adheres to regulatory compliance with all Command Center operations,including Stark, EMTALA, and any other pertinent to Call Centeractivities. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory requirements impactingoperations of the Command Center. Provides timely and accurate transfer and admission documentation. Works collaboratively with our providers and key stakeholders in thedevelopment and maintenance of transfer and admission pathways for ourpatients. Delegates as needed to the Transfer Center Tech and EMS Liaison. May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.Your experience.We hire people, not resumes.
